Lacey Truelove

Lacey is Part-Owner, Technical Director, and Head Coach of TEAMLDN. HYBRID. She is also the Co-Founder and Head Coach of TEAMLDN. Academy.

Lacey graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree focused on kinesiology, sociology, and health. With 20 years of coaching experience, Lacey is a truly passionate coach. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience ranging from gymnastics to diving to CrossFit and the sport of Functional Fitness. Lacey has her CF-L1 Certificate along with an OPEX Coaching Certificate.

In addition to her coaching experience, Lacey has an impressive, long history of competitive athletics. Her nine-year diving career carried her from the national stage to the world stage, where she represented Team Canada at the Olympic Trials in 2008 and 2012. In 2017, Lacey earned a spot on Team Canada for the Canadian Functional Fitness Team, where she represented her country in Concord, California, at the Functional Fitness World Championships. She was later selected in 2018 to represent Team Canada in London, England. Lacey now spends her time training, focusing on the sport of CrossFit and, in the near future, will represent TEAMLDN. at the 2024 CrossFit Games.

Lacey’s favourite thing about being a coach is having the opportunity to make a lifelong impact on members. She loves the part of the fitness journey when a member changes their mindset from ‘I have to do this to stay in shape’ to ‘I want to do this to be the best version of myself’. Lacey says “In this moment, members make the decision to be unapologetically better. They begin to recognize that they are meant for more and that there are no boundaries on what they can achieve. Seeing the shift in approach and confidence firsthand is always so rewarding.”
